Plays Aloud brings specially developed live performance to older audiences, touring to care homes, folds, sheltered housing units and dementia care facilities across Northern Ireland
‘Plays Aloud is always an amazing experience for our service users and Commedia of Errors continue to show dedication and sector innovation in their commitment to older audiences. We wouldn’t be without them.’’ - Care Home Actives Coordinator
The show is a nostalgia-based variety show made up of poetry, comedy and music from audience’s formative years, scripted links and performer improvisation / audience interaction. Each show commences with a meet-and-greet, where audience members have the chance to chat to the performers, a 45-minute performance and another chat afterwards.
