Virtual Reality

Programme

At Commedia of Errors, we are harnessing the power of immersive technology to build empathy and understanding for those living with dementia.

Our Dementia: Changing Perspectives VR programme creates deeply personal, virtual reality experiences based on real stories from local people in the early stages of dementia.

Experiencing Dementia Through Their Eyes

By placing the viewer at the heart of these lived experiences, our VR films help carers—both professional and family members—gain a greater understanding of what it feels like to navigate the world with dementia.

LILY

An immersive 360-degree film exploring the challenges of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. LILY is designed for carer training and public awareness, bringing audiences into the deeply personal reality of memory loss and shifting relationships.

Why Virtual Reality?

VR allows users to step into someone else’s reality—offering a more profound and emotional understanding of the daily challenges faced by those with dementia.

These experiences are being used in carer training programmes and awareness initiatives across Northern Ireland.

If you work in the care sector, are a family member of someone with dementia, or are interested in the impact of VR storytelling, we’d love to hear from you.
